Ive been wanting to experiment with zippers for bags and small leather goods. the cheapest way to buy quality Italian, ykk, riri, etc zippers is by the continous chain.
I then learned theres different types of zippers, like closed end, one way, two way, etc. THEN I learned bags typicaly use two way zippers, but different from traditional closed in the middle 2 way zippers.
My question is, do all these styles of zipper use the same teeth, and you can attach eitber one or 2 zipper pulls? Or are the teeth fundamentally different?
The issue is, 'bag zippers' are apparently traditionally an open two wag zipper. These are sold by the length, ex. 14 in, and thats impractical for me. I dont want to order zippers per bag, every bag.
I wanted to use one way, but maybe thats not common. So, what are you guys ordering for purse, duffle, or backpack style bags?
