My husband and I are headed to the Dominican Republic for Memorial Day weekend and staying at Eden Roc Cap Cana. I noticed the CDC recommends malaria medication for that area, so I’m curious what others have done. We’re not planning any hiking or excursions — mostly just beach and pool time. Has anyone stayed there recently, and did you take malaria pills?

Also, I’d love any tips for avoiding getting sick while we’re there. That’s another thing I’m a little concerned about.
