Our girl has been so ill for weeks and weeks. She is a year old and 6.8kg, a good size. Symptoms are extreme lethargy as well as UTI stuff, both liver enzymes were moderately raised on her last bloods a couple of weeks ago. Her urine was full of proteins and crystals (struvate) and the vet thought the problem was chronic UTIs so she has been on multiple courses of antibiotics. Urine has got better but lethargy/ gazing behaviour has got worse. We can't do a walk without continuous splooting and she is sleeping all day at home. Has a bile acid test planned for next week and she has been given lactulose in case this is a liver shunt.

Does anyone here have any experience with the above? If it is an external shunt she will need surgery ☹️
