Hi everyone. I’m a relatively new employee at a startup company and recently decided to resign because I plan to pursue graduate studies (masters) and focus on my personal well-being and future goals. (3 mos pa lang ako sa work, probationary)

The company is still small and doesn’t really have a formal HR structure yet. Another employee recently resigned as well, so management asked me to stay until they can find a replacement and even help look for one.

I already plan to render 30 days and help with turnover, organize files, endorse contacts, and assist with transition. However, I’m starting to feel anxious because I don’t know how much responsibility I actually have in finding my own replacement.

Is it normal in startups for resigning employees to help recruit their replacement? And how do I professionally maintain boundaries while still cooperating during my rendering period?

Would appreciate any advice, especially from people who worked in startups or small companies. Thank you.
