Bit of a pickle here....

Recently I bought a jeep. A small Japanese import from a Dublin car garage. Not a small company mind, quite large. Anyway, when I bought the jeep, it wasn't yet registered in Ireland (the garage did all that for me) and didnt have a valid NCT, so the garage booked it in for me, all good. NCT date wasn't for two months as it was the soonest date available. Said once the paperwork complete, they'd post out the new logbook.

Fast forward to a month later and the jeep is (financially)written off in a three car pile up on the motorway (some eejit in front cut across two lanes to the exit) I'm trying not to think that's the universes way of telling me 'no nice things, only bangers'...but I digress...

My problem now is that my insurance won't pay out without the logbook. Which I never revived. Rang the car garage, and they said they posted it out and didn't keep a photocopy. Can't get it verified at the garda station because the cars a wreck in some scrapyard, and I'm currently abroad for work, so I can't physically go into the station. 😫

The amount settles the full value of the jeep (minus €250) but im told that the longer it takes for the insurance company to get the logbook, the more in storage fees I'll pay?!

At this rate, my head melted, I'm car-less and a wee bit stressed out.
