Hi Everyone, my mum and I are wanting to visit St Peter basilica on the 14th of May and wondered the best way of approaching this was?
I know a lot of advice is to get up early and queue but we already have a lot of very early starts on our trip so would rather not. I have seen some posts saying that late afternoon can have shorter queues so wanted to see if anyone has actually tried it? Also is the dome worth it and do you need to book a ticket in advance?
Basically if I show up to the queue at 4pm will I be waiting hours to get in? And will I miss the chance to do the dome clime (if it is even worth it)?
* I have attached a photo of the tickets I was thinking of buying off the official website. Wanted to check with everyone before buying.
