After trying the 1.0 release, I feel like the game is repeating the same mistakes as Into the Radius 1 and not fully delivering on what was said in dev diary #8.

Back then, the devs clearly said they wanted to:

  • Reduce micro-loot (less single bullets, random junk, etc.)
  • Reduce the amount of lootable furniture (fewer cabinets to open constantly)
  • Focus on more meaningful loot like crates with useful items
  • Introduce new systems like “Ash” with actual gameplay use

But in the current state, it feels like the opposite is happening.

There are still a ton of cabinets and containers to open, and the amount of small scattered loot is honestly overwhelming. A lot of the time I feel like I’m just carrying my backpack in my hands and collecting everything like a trash bag instead of actually exploring.

The “micro-loot fatigue” they mentioned in the diary is still there — maybe even worse now with the altered loot.

I’m not trying to hate — I actually like the game a lot, and that’s why this stands out so much. The dev diary had a really clear vision for improving loot, but right now it feels like that direction got lost somewhere.
