I have recently bought some pretty expensive linen dresses that arrived reeking like those terrible scent boosters for laundry. It's so strong its filled up the house and is really migraine inducing.

This isn't the first time this has happened but I usually just return or try to sell but these are really beautiful dresses that are pretty good condition despite the stench.

Has anyone had any luck removing the strong laundry scent before and have any tips? I haven't tried anything yet as I dont want to risk damage.

I wash all purchases before wearing so that will be my first step usually, is there any holy grail product I can add in to cut the smell?
