Bought a used 2012 Chevy Malibu with 212k miles for 3500. It had minor rust but other than that everything was fine until a few days after purchasing. I had replaced the battery because the old one was no good but the car started rough idling and eventually it would crank and not start unless I press down on the gas pedal or few times before starting. The car has locked up on me once and after driving for a little while I have to put the car in park while pressing the gas pedal to keep the rpm from dropping too low or else the car will stall on me. I thought it was the throttle body but even after cleaning it, the car is still having trouble running for extended periods of time. I really think it’s something wrong with the fuel delivery system but I don’t know much about cars so I hope you guys can help 🙏
