My original post is below. The heaters in both toilets in a HDB I rented in March are plugged into 3 pin outlets instead of dedicated heater switches which is apparently not up to code & poses fire/electrocution hazards according to the landlord's electrician who came to make repairs.

Had no choice but to consult HDB and they called the landlord regarding this. Now the landlord wants me to vacate on May 7 (he sent me the notice last night at 11.30 pm). Is this even legal? I don't find any clause in my contract which says I can be asked to leave for any reason. Please help.

Entered into a rental contract with a landlord. In the 30 day warranty period, highlighted that the heater was not working in one of the bathrooms.

Landlord sent over a technician to replace the heater electrical socket who informed me & the landlord that the incorrect one (13 amps socket) had been installed previously and this needed to be upgraded to the right one (20 amps) as this is a building code violation.

Landlord asked him to just replace the old (incorrect one of 13 amps rating) with a new 13 amps one because it "works fine." Suspect she's doing this just to save money.

This is a fire hazard. What can I do in this case?
