SOLO KASOL TRIP HELP!
Planning a solo Kasol/Kheerganga trip in May, need some honest advice
Hey everyone,
I’m planning a solo Parvati Valley trip from 14–18 May and wanted some advice from people who’ve already been there.
I’m more of an introvert, so I’m not looking for heavy party scenes or super packed itineraries. I do want to meet people while traveling, but more naturally — cafés, hostel common areas, treks, random conversations etc.
Right now my plan is something like this:
14 May — reach Kasol from Delhi in morning, stay there and relax/explore a little
15 May — move to Kalga because a lot of people say it’s calmer and less crowded than Kasol
16 May — trek to Kheerganga and stay overnight there
17 May — come back slowly, maybe spend some time in Tosh, then take overnight bus to Delhi
18 May — reach Delhi
Honestly I just want a peaceful mountain trip, maybe sit in cafés, meet fellow travelers, have good conversations, try the famous brownie once, chill a bit and not rush through places.
A few things I’m confused about:
- Should I skip staying in Kasol and directly go to Kalga?
- Kalga or Tosh — which feels better for solo travelers?
- Any hostel recommendations that are social but not too loud/party-heavy?
- Is Kheerganga too crowded around mid May?
- Anything you wish you knew before your first Parvati Valley trip?
Would really appreciate any suggestions or warnings honestly. This is my first proper solo mountain trip so trying to plan it well without overdoing things.
