Dilemma between research and industry experience

Hello everyone,

I am a recent graduate from an Old IIT, non circuital branch (8.5+ cg). I currently have an offer from a tier 2 firm for the QR role which pays good but is not reputed. Additionally, I have an opportunity from a very reputed professor in India who is interested in calling me for 3 months of summer intern to do work in option pricing. I know for a fact his LOR holds a lot of value and could fast-track me for the masters program outside.

I am in a dilemma right now about what to choose, will the quant companies value the research work I do there when I apply again after 3 months?

AI/ML Developer interview at Tower Research Capital

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming interview with Tower Research Capital for a AI/ML Developer role and wanted to understand what to expect from the interview process.

A bit about my background: I am from an old IIT, recent graduate, non-circuital branch with a cg of 8.5+. I do have done a quant researcher intern as well from a tier 2 company, CM on codeforces (idk if that matters here), but no research papers in ML. However the BTP which I did was mixture of my core+DL.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone who has interviewed with Tower could share:

- What topics were emphasized (math, probability, stats, ML, markets, hands on coding, etc.)

- Level of depth in interviews

- Any advice on preparation or common pitfalls

Thanks in advance — any insights would be super helpful.
