I am currently working in germany with EU blue card. My EU blue card expired 17 Nov 2025 and i got a Fiktionbescheinigung until May 2nd in Regensburg. I shifted my place this january and my auslander ofc in Regensburg told that i need to start the process again in Frankfurt.
My blue card extension appointment is on June 2nd and in the appointment confirmation email it was mentioned that if my appointment is after the expiry of blue card i will automatically receive the new fiktionbescheinigung by post. This does not happen and try to visit the auslander ofc in person. The security person asked me to fill the emergency contact form and said that the fiktion will be processed soon. I have not yet received the fiktion and my existing fiktion is expired.
As per residence act §81 AufenthG (Residence Act), it is mentioned that i can stay legally in Germany since i already submitted the application before my blue card expiry. Can i simply trust this residence act and wait for the appointment on June 2 ? Or is there something else i could do?
