A memory came up to me from back when I was in school.

Every year, during autumn, my school would host a cross country sports day for us. We would compete in a 1000m race and the winners (top 3) got little medals for them.

And me, being fast and fiercely competitive, won every year. As for the girls, the first two were always Hana and Mia (made up names for the post). They were from another class of our year so I never really talked to them since I usually preferred to stay in my class during breaks. They were cool and I liked them anyways.

So in 7th grade a bunch of new students transferred from a smaller school. One of them was Rick, who surprised everyone by getting the first place that year, me being second.

Fast forward to 8th grade, I decided wouldn't have another loss, so in the last straight of the course I sprinted past Rick and won the first place back again, cause I wanted to be the best again hahah.

Anyways, now for the question itself. So some time after the race, when I was walking in the school corridors, Hana and Mia walked past me and I saw them looking at me and they also giggled for some reason. Me, being a slightly akward introvert, smiled at them and then turned my head away at a window as we walked past each other.

Then, on another day, when I was stepping into school at the main door of the building with my best friend, we came across Hana and Mia, who were going outside. They were in a good mood and Hana told me something like: "wow, you are the fast* boy!" and again they giggled. Now because we were moving past each other and I was suprised at what she had said, I didn't answer anything. I only told my bro afterward something like "haha, what was that?" and we went on with our day.

*she seemed to emphasize the word 'fast'

That's all. I did not have any more encounters with them and after graduating we went to different high schools. But why did they giggle and why did she point that out?? I mean it was kind of normal that we always did the best at the sports day?

It's just a random memory I think about sometimes hahah

(I edited the wording a bit)
