I acquired this beautiful, well-loved girl at an estate sale & would love advice on how to repair her.
The body material is so thin & damaged. I'm wondering if it would be better to give her a new body? I'm unsure what kind of construction is under the skin, but I do know that it's filled with a lot of the stuffing material as seen by the neckline.
I just couldn't leave her there.
I would also like advice on how to clean and restore her hair. I noticed that her head is molded underneath the hair. Was the hair a later addition or is that how they were made?
I see no maker's marks, so any information would be very much appreciated!
