Tools advice!

Hey guys,

So I tried using a free teleprompter app on my phone "promptsmart" but I had to subscribe to use it for longer than 3 minutes at a time and if a video is only 3 minutes long I dont need a script 🤣 and sometimes its wouldnt track my voice properly to scroll. So just wondering what you guys use that is affordable for a very small channel im not wanting to out alot of money into at this point.

Also wondering about editing software, I dont at this point have an amazing laptop (will upgrade if i start making money on YT, and dont want to pay alot for Adobe subscriptions. Im currently using capcut but im wanting to try something abit more advanced, was looking at davinci and wondering how people here have found it if theyve tried it?

And just wondering the best option for making thumbnails that people have found that ISNT over exaggerated AI thumbnails.

Im happy with the progress ive made and how things are going so far but want to keep working to improve 🥰

Wanted to share my final room layout until even more of these guys mature 🤣 added a second set of shelves, each shelf has grow light on the underside, lowest shelves used for prop boxes! Best room for ambient temp and humidity for them. Love being able to see them all so easily every day too, have 100 different types now 🫣

Hey guys, thanks so much for the responses on my last post, I probably couldve been clearer.

I dont want to buy pre orders at all 😅 I dislike the concept, I made a youtube video where I talk about things I avoid as a buyer, one was pre orders.

I live in New Zealand and because of biosecurity we do have a unique market, but all shops have access to the same labs that will export here, so when one shop pre orders it at a high price, it will release from the other shops at a pretty similar time for less money. One shop turned to pre orders after they released a plant at 450 and other shops released it for 100.

They were straight in my emails talking about how im ruining innovation and new ideas and that this is a normal trusted practice overseas that allows shops to better plan inventory, lock in "low" prices and plan their growing space.

They dont allow cancelations for "impatience, change of mind or growing delays" some people 8 weeks past release are still waiting for plants. It is also full price upfront.

I dont think this is a scam shop or anything, theyre decently well known and trusted with their normal plant sales but it personally feels that theyre struggling to adjust to the changing market and this is a way to catch people that are super excited at seeing this plant for sale for the first time. Lock them in at a higher price and then theyre stuck when the other shops release it cheaper, its based on them not understanding how TC labs work and that all the shops can access the same few labs that will ship here.

We also have a local shop who imports, then does TC in the country so they can then release in bulk at a lower price in the country.

So in asking for info im just curious how its actually done and viewed in general overseas so i can be more informed.

It doesnt change my view on not liking the model in our market. I dont want my local viewers buying pre order not understanding the potential risk, but also dont want to speak so broadly on it if it is more standard but runs differently overseas.

Hey guys, I have a local shop thats doing tc pre-orders, they import the TC, harden it off and acclimate it, pot it up and then ship it. Up to a 2 month wait, they ask for full price upfront. They repeatedly say this is a common practice overseas and any concern around it is just people being scared of new things, so I thought id ask, is this a common practice in north America and europe to see from shops?

Thanks all!

Pic of one of my fav emergents right now so this doesnt get lost.
