I’m nervous to go wedding dress shopping with my mom and sister and could use some advice. Historically, we have verydifferent taste. I’m drawn to more bohemian/whimsical/floral styles, while they both love glam, sparkle, and more traditional “wow” dresses.
I’m worried I’m going to get talked over or pressured into choosing something that doesn’t feel like me. I want them there because I love them and want to share the experience, but I’m anxious it’ll turn into me defending every dress I like.
I also live out of state, so I won’t have my bridesmaids with me for support or to balance things out, which is adding to my nerves a little.
Has anyone dealt with this? How did you set boundaries or keep the appointment focused on what you wanted without causing drama?
