I got this thing less than a week ago with 150k miles on it (I am a auto body technician however I know very little about mechanics) Im going to repaint it red and take the back trim and paint it to be a “Vader chrome” like Chevy offers on their newer vehicles. My main concern is the motor/ transmission (automatic) anyone have any suggestions on stuff I should replace sooner than later? I plan on driving the transmission into the ground and replacing it with a manual. Valve seals are bad and I’m fixing those this weekend, just wondering if there’s anything else I should replace or repair while I’m fixing my valve seals. 350 motor.
Edit: Paint is peeling and bubbled and has tons of ring outs from improper body work done by the previous owner. It needs repainted regardless of it being a rare color. My name is on the title not yours so please respect my color choice I’m just looking for tips 😂 I got this blue one instead of a red one because it was cheap as dirt because of the shitty body work and I plan on repainting it to be a tri coat paint anyway
