Approved 3 months after interview!
After a very emotional journey my kids and I have been approved!!! After our interview in February and two transfers to other field offices. I can finally post. Almost gave up and didn’t think this day would ever come! I have been mentally and emotionally challenged and even considered giving up. It might not look like a long journey but I worked on my case myself a year before I filed and have been away from home and homesick going on two years now, missed numerous birthdays and Christmas away from my family with whom I am very close with, missed funerals, weddings and many special events, even yesterday my county had elections and I missed the whole process which won’t happen again for the next 5 years. I am so grateful to God and to this community for support and information! I am also from one of the paused countries (side note)I am praying for everyone else on this journey and hope my story can encourage someone else. I only moved to this country to be with my husband, I didn’t actually mentally prepare to feel like I was being held hostage due to the travel restrictions. Hind sight is 20/20 though. I wouldn’t recommend doing this process unless you have all the funds and resources to file paperwork right away, because without work authorization you will literally be a sitting duck 🦆 waiting for the right authorities to dictate your life and that’s not cool! ☮️ peace and love and best luck 🍀 to everyone one this journey!
