I’m wondering if the above is normal as I can only ever seem to find resources saying pleasure and sensitivity increases while menstruating. Can it ever be the reverse?
When I’m on my period, I’ve noticed sex feels noticeably less pleasurable - and even sort of numb - including clitoral stimulation which takes an age and is very weak/sort of “forced” once I manage to accomplish it anyway. The sensitivity is basically reduced to nothing.
Additionally, my nipples are usually extremely sensitive and can arouse me better than any other stimulation. But when I’m menstruating it just feels numb, flat and a bit boring. Even when all the same techniques are applied.
Could these things be related? If so, how? It’s weird it happens every month, and that the sources online say otherwise. Feel a bit weird! Feel like I’m missing out on the increased period sensitivity everyone talks about! Plus it’s confusing/concerning to my boyfriend and I understand why haha!
