My Journey Curing Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis: A Complete Timeline and Success Story

Hello, I’m from the Philippines, and I want to share my experience and testimony of how I was completely cured of Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis.

Here is the full timeline of events:

The Misdiagnosis

June 2020

This was when my nightmare started. My symptoms hit me hard: I was constantly peeing multiple times an hour, always having the urge to go even when little to nothing came out. The tip of my penis was constantly irritated, and I couldn't think about anything else but needing to pee. I had an extremely hard time sleeping, waking up around 7 to 8 times every single night.

I first consulted an Internal Medicine doctor at a nearby clinic. I underwent a Urinalysis, CBC testing, and an Ultrasound, but everything came back negative. The doctors were totally baffled and couldn't figure out what was causing my symptoms.

Next, I went to a Urologist at a famous hospital in Taguig City. She performed a uroflowmetry test and a digital rectal exam (DRE), which revealed that my prostate gland was severely swollen. Based on that and my prior tests, she diagnosed me with non-bacterial prostatitis and an overactive bladder/bowel.

She told me there was no cure and that this was just a condition males my age (I was only 21 at the time!) develop over time. Because it was the height of COVID and we were strictly working from home, she concluded my swollen prostate was caused by the pressure of sitting all day. She prescribed Mefenamic Acid 3x a day for 30 days for the pain, and Solifenacin for the overactive bladder.

July 2020

The Mefenamic Acid did not work at all. In fact, it only made me feel worse by giving me GERD, which I still suffer from to this day (but that’s a different story). The Solifenacin did absolutely nothing for my urinary symptoms.

When I reported this back to my urologist, she reiterated that there is no cure for non-bacterial prostatitis and that it could only be "managed." She taught me some Kegel exercises, which didn't help my condition one single bit. My symptoms were just as bad as they were in June.

August 2020 – October 2020

I tried a ton of supplements that were supposed to help—Saw Palmetto, Sambong leaves, and various anti-inflammatories. None of them worked. The Urologist also prescribed Mirabegron, which also did nothing. I was miserable. I couldn't sleep well, couldn't focus on work, and the tip of my penis was constantly irritated.

The Turning Point

November 2020

I started doing my own research and found out about a specialized Prostatitis Clinic in Makati. I read a Reddit forum where a guy from the US traveled all the way to the Philippines just to have his prostatitis treated there. His post was scientifically sound and made a lot of sense to me, so I booked a consultation for the end of the month.

It was there that I finally found out the truth: I had Bacterial Prostatitis, NOT non-bacterial prostatitis.

My previous diagnosis was wrong simply because hospitals often lack the proper diagnostic process. A basic urinalysis, uroflowmetry, and ultrasound aren't enough. The Prostatitis Doctor explained that the correct diagnostic procedure involves:

1. Doing a urinalysis to check for immediate bacterial infection.

2. Performing a Prostate Massage to extract prostate fluid.

3. Culturing the prostate fluid and doing sensitivity testing to check for both Bacterial and Fungal infections.

After doing these proper tests, I found out my prostate was infected with both bacteria and fungus, and the WBC (white blood cell) count in my prostate fluid was extremely high. My prostate was incredibly inflamed when the doctor performed the massage.

The Real Treatment Plan

The doctor explained the treatment method, which was intense but logical:

1. I had to take specific antibiotics tailored to the exact bacteria found in my prostate (based on the culture and sensitivity test).

2. I had to undergo three prostate massages per week while on the antibiotics. The massages physically drain the infected fluid out of the prostate.

3. The goal was to systematically rid the prostate of the bacteria. However, as the bacterial levels dropped, the fungus would take advantage and multiply. When that happened, I had to switch to antifungals while continuing the 3x-a-week massages.

November 2020 – October 2021

This is how long it took to fully treat the disease before I was cleared. It took a full year because my prostate was deeply infected. It was a constant battle: if the bacteria died down, the fungus would take over; if the fungus died down, the bacteria would flare up again. It is not an easy disease to treat, but it is absolutely treatable.

The Cure

By the end of October 2021, my prostate fluid was tested again. There was no active bacteria and no fungus. My WBC levels were completely normal and low.

I could finally sleep through the night again. I didn't have to constantly pee, and the terrible itching and irritation at the tip of my penis was gone. My suffering from Prostatitis had finally ended! 😊

A Final Note for Anyone Struggling:

The clinic I went to has helped countless people and treats men who fly in from all around the world. The staff are incredibly friendly and understanding. They take the time to thoroughly and professionally explain exactly how the disease works and what your specific treatment plan will look like.

As far as I know, there are very few clinics in the world that treat prostatitis using these thorough methods, and this clinic has by far some of the most affordable rates.
