Splitting colony

England

Hey, fairly new beekeeper here. We had signs of swarm preparation in our only colony, so did a split however I let my partner help and while I was dealing with putting the queen and some brood in a new hive, I turned around and he was shaking frames with queen cells on 😅. I thought he was aware not to do this after coming to all meetings and other group inspections, so I’ve decided to leave all queen cells because now I can’t be sure which ones are ok and which ones are not. Is this the right move? I would’ve taken all but two good ones down. Thank you for any advice.
