Well... this occurred to me after I was browsing Twitter and saw someone complaining that the second form of “Mortenax Blade” was dark. Even though I don’t even play HRS, it piqued my curiosity because, in fact, it was the same color as the boss Datattore. And beyond jokes like “it turned that color because Columbina incinerated it with her moonbeam,” I want to believe it might have real significance. That’s when a fan responded to the complaint by saying that this form of Mortenax Blade represented the deity Mahakala. I looked up information on that deity because I’m not familiar with Buddhism or Tibetan culture, and I was surprised to see that, indeed, it might have some connection to Datattore. What do you think?

I want to talk about something I haven’t seen mentioned much. There’s no way the burning Irminsul isn’t part of the Fatui’s plans. We’re approaching Sneznhaya, which will mark the start of the Stuzha project; everything points to this being the beginning of the rebellion against Celestia. And to kick things off, they need to weaken PH’s influence; attacking the World Tree should be a priority for them. (Making sure, of course, that there’s a way to replace that tree.)

Now, how does this connect to what happened in Nod Krai? Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe Fatui needed Columbina’s trilunar authority and had to make sure she obtained it one way or another (here I’m not sure if Dottore’s actions were purely selfish or if he was following a secret plan). But the fact that Pierro was spotted in Nod Krai makes me suspicious. What if he was the responsible for stirring up trouble at the borders? Dottore’s plan was too complex for him to be working alone… especially given the knowledge needed to revive Rerir—where else would he have gotten that information if not from Pierro himself? I don’t doubt Dottore’s intelligence, but there are many things about Nod Krai that don’t add up for me.

But getting back to 6.6. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the cutscene showing the Irminsul burning was included in the Fatui trailer. Nor do I think it’s a coincidence that the only Fatui member who will be in Sumeru is Pantalone, who, according to leaks, will be Dottore’s only “ally.” I think the Fatui are being extremely discreet, and Dottore kept saying in version 6.3 that he wasn’t afraid to play the role of the villain and how much he believed that it was the villains who allowed heroes to grow.

So, personally, I think the odds that he’ll continue working with the Fatui are at least 70%. I’d like to say it’s 100%, but there are things about Nod Krai that still confuse me. Dottore in Nod Krai gave me the feeling of trying to understand Escher’s paintings: I could interpret it one way, but he could also be playing with my mind, and it could be interpreted in a completely opposite way, haha. Maybe I’m just too dumb to get it, or this guy really is a walking contradiction.

In any case, the burning Irminsul was his plot armor, so whatever happens from there will depend entirely on what Hoyo has ultimately decided for him. One thing I’m sure of, his role as a villain will end there. Will he survive? Right now, I’d say it’s 50/50.

I just hope that all the questions I currently have will be answered satisfactorily!

And I want to apologize if I said something that didn't make sense. English isn't my first language! Thanks for reading.
