Hi I’m exploring locums work in the NYC area and would love some advice from people with experience.

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts. How should I evaluate whether a contract is “good” or not? Would you recommend doing locums work overall? Why or why not? What is the toughest part of starting up in locums?

I’m also trying to get organized before I start applying: What documents should I have ready upfront? Do you use anything to keep track of licenses, credentialing, applications, and contracts?

Any NYC-specific insights would be especially helpful, but I’d appreciate general advice too.
