I currently work in a call center, and if you have ever worked in a call center then you know how soul sucking it is!! My mangers are on my butt for every little thing. We have after call work that should only be 2 minutes long, if you go over that 2 minutes by even one minute you get an email. If you come back from lunch or break a few minutes late you get an email. You can't breathe unless its within the time they allow.

I work for Blue Cross and I get a lot of third party callers from India and they are soooooo rude! They call just to argue. Whenever I tell them anything they don't want to hear, its wrong, so I just don't even fight it anymore I just tell them what they obviously want to hear. When that doesn't work they'll be forced to call back and actually listen to what we have to say.

Also we do not make enough dealing with this BS! I have no savings because the pay is so little I only make enough to get by. I doordash and have amazing parents who help me from time to time just to get by. But if I quit that wouldn't be enough to pay my rent or by groceries for 2 months.

But the light at the tunnel is that I got a new job as a teacher and I honestly can't wait to start! But I don't start for another two months and some change, since the kids are out for summer. I want to hold out cause its only two months. But everytime that phone rings I want to throw it out the window.

What should I do? Should I stick out these last two months? Should I quit and try to get a job at Starbucks or Walmart in the meantime. Or should I quit and just do gig work?
