For some reason

I have a layer, then on the little layers within those layers I'm trying to give one the multiply blend mode and the other an add blend mode, yet it's not letting me do so. Both blend modes work individually on the same layer, yet once I turn the one with the add blend mode on they both turn to hold an add blend mode even if the multiply isn't even touching/overlapping with the add blend mode.

Is this some kind of issue or intended? I've never had this problem before so to me it feels like an update error.

Anyway I can get around it for now?
