hi all, i hope it's okay to post this here! and i apologise if this is silly at all :")

i've been lucky to befriend a few magpies by the hospital i stay at, and i had the chance to see them again this evening whilst i could escape the ward for a bit :)

i always take photos when i visit them to share with my family, though i noticed this particular magpie had a lump under their beak. i was wondering if anyone might be able to help me identify what it could be, i'm wondering if they might've gotten in a bit of a scrap with another bird, or if it could be something a bit more serious?

i really hope they're okay, and that this is just me overthinking things. i'd be happy to try contacting a wildlife rescue group in case it is anything that needs special attention as well. i'll also add some more lighthearted photos from this evening too 💙
