How are people with pets finding places to live? There is virtually nothing on Zillow in the area that allows them 🥲

Hi all!

My family is exploring moving to Carlsbad area from SF next summer. Also open to areas south as well. We are planning to visit this summer to get an overall feel of fit and wanted some input on how to spend our days, what areas to visit and anything/where we should check out. My kids are 3/5 and my daughter will be going into first grade when we move so school zones are also important.
