Hi everyone! I was very fortunate to receive offers from these universities but I am struggling to make a decision between both options and the tight deadline just makes things 100x worse 😭
The 2 options that I have:
- NUS DSE + Acacia College
- SMU Econs and Business Management (DDP) + Global Impact Scholarship
To list down my respective reasons for choosing both unis
Why NUS:
-Living on campus! I really want to experience dorm life so my pick was always on NUS
-Good prestige and I their NUS Data science is quite well known? (idk how true is that but yea)
-CHS curriculum allows me to switch between majors easily
-I like the campus environment more
Why not NUS:
-No scholarship 😭 I mean the school fees can be manageable cus my father said he will manage for me but I feel bad cus it seems like im
giving up a free education on SMU just to go after NUS and somemore his a sole breadwinner so lowkey hurts to see him still working for my education fees when he shld be retiring 😭
Why SMU:
-Scholarship 🤑 I mean im gna study there for FREE and like I can even get allowance which is VERY VERY VERY financially attractive
-I heard SMU Econs and Biz are like really good and well known in local companies? (Correct me if im wrong)
Why not SMU:
-I dont really enjoy the high class participation weightage
-No dorm life, I prefer NUS campus (I just vibe with NUS environment slightly better… does it make sense lol?)
Can I get your 2 cents on this matter 🙏 Acacia College acceptance deadline is in 4 days and OMG I am living with struggle between these 2 options 🤯
And what are the chances of me getting a NUS scholarship? For context I got 70RP with H3 Merit and some portfolio along leadership and community service. Why cant they just me a reply ☹️ Just say I am rejected atp…

EDIT: So I just called NUS Office of Admission and they told me I can just accept both NUS RC + SMU first and I am so bloody confused because doesn’t that mean I am enrolling to both NUS AND SMU????? I dont think that is allowed bah OMG ERM SENIORS ANYONE IN THE SAME SITUATION BEFORE 😭🙏
