3-4 Day Trip - Aalborg-Sweden-Norway | Advice needed
Hi everyone!
We're a family living in Aalborg and planning a short 3-4 day trip next week (14 May -> 16/17 May). We won't have a car, so we're doing everything by train + ferry.
The plan looks like this:
Aalborg -> Hirtshels > Gothenburg -> Oslo -> Frederikshavn -> Aalborg
Rough itinerary
• Train from Aalborg to Hirtshals
• Ferry to Gothenburg (Fjord Line)
• Stay1 night in Gothenburg
• Scenic train from Gothenburg to Oslo
.Stay 1 night in Oslo
•Overnight ferry from Oslo to Frederikshavn
• Train back to Aalborg
Well'be traveling with our 4-year-old, so we're trying to keep things simple.
Questions for anyone who has done this route:
- Is this loop realistic and comfortable with a small kid? Any parts that are too rushed or should be swapped?
2.Best way to book tickete?
• Ferrles (Flord Line/ Stene Line/ DFDS)
• Trains (DSB /VY).. Is It cheoper to book everything separately, or are there any package deals that combine fern) + hotel + train?
3.Any kid-friendly tips for Gothenburg and Oslo?
4, Anything we should know about boarding ferries as foot passengers?
- Weather In mid-May - chould we expect any snow view on the Gothenburg -> Osle train? Or is that only on the Bergen line?
If anyone has alternative suggestions for a 3-4 day Scandinavian trip from Aalborg, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks all.
