I recently took a metalsmithing class and the jewelers are stoked to have a rock person around. I have done some work for free I don’t mind but you know our equipment is expensive :)

I know how much everything I buy costs but it’s hard for me to extrapolate that per slab and per cab… advice? I am not providing the rocks I have told them if they have a rock or slab they want me to work that is what I can do.

I’m not a professional and I’ve only been cabbing a year so I don’t feel appropriate charging at all but if I could offset some of my equipment costs that would be great.
