Turn the Cade…

In order for the team to succeed in this round, and into the next round vs NYK:

  1. Detroit has to change the tempo
on both ends of the court, and
    stop Cleveland from blitzing
    Cade and clogging the paint.
  2. Stop the turnovers. Period!
  3. Quit chasing Donovan and
    James Harden through screens.
    Utilize Javonte, Marcus and
    Paul Reed in well disguised
    traps.
  4. Use Ron Holland and Ausar as
    facilitators. Cleveland is not
    counting on them as shooters.
  5. Get the ball more to Tobias in
motion, and not just rely on
him when the clock is ticking
    down.

And BY ALL MEANS DON’T LET THE SHOT CLOCK BEAT YOU! MOVE YOUR FEET AND STOP FOULING!
Remember that NYK are rested and waiting.

Back Story:
I’m in a game of 8 ball. I’m solids partially hooked behind a stripe. I have a very small window of escape, without striking the stripe.
I walk the table, knowing that my opponent is watching the play. Before I stroke any shot, I’ll point and call out the pocket. In this case, I tell my opponent “this one’s going to be close.” I make every effort not to foul, and I believe that it was a good hit.
.
After the stroke, I turn to my opponent and asked if he saw the shot. He tells me “I think you hit the stripe.”
Now - He gets miffed when I replied “l hit the solid first” and proceeded to continue playing.
.
My frustration is this: I clearly pointed out, and motioned away from the bad hit. He remained in his seat partially blocked from seeing the shot.
.
I only wished that I’d pocketed the shot and gladly given him the table. I lost the game, and gained some valuable experience.
- “It’s just one shot - finish what
you started.”
