I took my 6 months old puppy to the dog park for the third time since I adopted her. The first time I was nervous and kept her on the leash and introduced her to some other dogs slowly because she would bark. I took her off the leash when no one was there.

In between the second visit to the dog park I took her to a daycare and they worked on her socializing, the first day they had to try having her with other dogs gradually and she was able to make friends. The second day she did great and was playing with all the dogs all day.

Yesterday, I took her to the dog park again and talked to some ladies there that were very friendly and gave me some good advice on how to make sure she does well with other dogs/people and mentioned that my puppy is very playful from her behaviours and we didn’t have any issues.

Today my puppy was playing with all dogs at the park and approached lots of people too (She’s a sweetheart). Before leaving the dog park a couple showed up with their dog (way larger than my puppy) and she went to say hi and play. She’s really fast and I try to catch up but I guess she nipped on the dog while playing and the owners were really upset. she’s a rescue and I only had her for two weeks and I am trying my best to train her and the guy was very aggressive towards us while I am trying to separate them and put her on her leash he was yelling to put her on her leash when I was LITERALLY trying to do that. I am very confused on what I am doing wrong and I understand that they are concerned about their dog but the dog didn’t bark or whine or tried to move away and I feel like they were the ones making the situation worse? I am new to all of this but I talk to lots of people and try to search as much as possible and train my puppy well. I am probably in the wrong here but I immediately tried to put her on her leash but the guy was still yelling. When she was on her leash I went to speak to another dog owner that was closer and he said that she was just playing and she is just young. I was emotional and embarrassed at that point and I ended up crying lol. I just don’t know what I am supposed to do
