Flares with different Manufacturers
Hi everyone!
Has anyone experienced flare ups after switching manufacturers? I started spiro in September of 2025 at 50mg then bumped my dose up to 100mg in November. I haven’t had any breakouts since I started the 100mg dosage.
I just refilled my prescription with a different manufacturer and a cystic pimple developed within a week of taking it.
Has anyone else had similar issues with certain manufacturers not being effective? My old spiro was manufactured by Aurobindo and the new one that I’m having issues with is manufactured by Amneal.
I know it could just be a coincidence but I find it odd that after being clear for months I am now breaking out again conveniently right after switching manufacturers.
Would love to know if anyone has had a similar experience before I reach out to my doctor about it.
