Hi everyone, I need some advice wrt PF transfer. The context is going to be a little long-drawn but please bear with me.

It is embarrassing to admit that till this week I wasn't aware I had to keep transferring my PF from one employer to the other, as I switched jobs.

Job change context:

  1. Company A: Jul 2015 - Dec 2021

  2. Company B: Jan 2022 - Aug 2022

  3. Company C: Sep 2022 - Mar 2026 (LWD: 31/03/2026)

  4. Company D: Joined in the last week of Apr 2026 (DOJ: 27/04/2026)

I also just learnt that, as I became an EPF member after Sep 2014, my employers should not have bifurcated their employer share into PF contribution and pension contribution. Turns out, Company A, B and C all have bifurcated their share and made a 'pension contribution'.

Company D has mentioned that they will be adhering to the correct policies and will ensure the PF contribution is not bifurcated i.e., the 'pension contribution' is going to be NIL. They also said that, if 'pension contribution' was made incorrectly by any of my previous employers, the PF transfer request will throw an error and I'll have to first get my previous employers to make these corrections (move pension contribution back to PF contribution) before being able to make a transfer.

While exploring the 'One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer)' tab in my EPF account I noticed that, Company C is still listed under the 'Details of present account into which transfer will be affected'.

Given all this context, what is the correct order of the next steps I should follow?

Option 1: Write to Company A, B and C separately to make the corrections -> once done, initiate transfer into Company D (hoping Company D will appear under 'present account' by then)

Option 2: Initiate transfer of Company A and B to Company C (as it is listed as my 'present account') and then, at a later stage initiate another transfer to Company D? Or is this risky, given Company D might soon appear here as my 'present account'?

Additional question: I have previously never manually marked my Last Working Day for any of my previous employers (Company A or B). Should I now be marking the last working day for Company C in the EPF portal? Asking as in some of the help forums, this is mentioned as a way to get the PF account automatically transferred.

Let me know if any of my understandings are wrong. I'm really new to this, and most of what I know is from random Googling and what my present employer's payroll team has told me.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
