Bro why is everyone rage baiting the IT sector?? On this sub every second person is crying there are no jobs for freshers in IT, ai has ruined everything.

I literally got a job 4 months before graduation after doing software engineering here in Australia that too in 2026 AI era. There are literally companies who are hiring grads in record numbers.

Seriously, 90% guys don’t know how to find jobs. They are not in the right direction.

Learn to network. Learn to use LinkedIn. There are firms about whom you never knew existed.

Everyone is running after the same 4-5 large services based companies. In reality, 60-70% of hiring in Australia is done by mid-medium product based companies. Find them. You can primarily follow and find these companies through your uni page and searching alumni. And if you’re active on LinkedIn it shows you newer profiles. This tells you the firms to target and adds to your list.

Upgrade your skills. Stop running after certifications. Learn your technical concepts. Start doing DSA (a lot of companies don’t even ask it here except for big 4-5).

Learn how to write your resume in outcomes. There’s literally a latex template online explaining resumes that were selected by google, Microsoft.
Jobs don’t come by the tree, they come by smart work done every day 🙏. Literally I locked in 3 months and found the job. It took me over 200 applications. But I filtered out the roles I wanted.

It’s same in industry by industry, just do hardwork🙏 along with network building. In uni, join technical teams or teams related to your future job. Do volunteering. Your part time is a bigger bonus than you think. Include it.

Also for projects, joining student teams in technical side is pretty good as they have pretty good projects and you can use them on your resume as they work on really interesting things and separates you from 90% of the calculator mern app crowd. Also you can build a personal website. It took me literally half an hour to do so using Claude Code. You can download your LinkedIn profile and feed it into Claude and add your projects as well. You can also use ai based assistant.
