Prophet 5/10 vs Trigon-6 — for people who have owned or seriously played both: which one would you actually keep?
I’m trying to make a final decision between the Prophet 5/10 and the Trigon-6.
I already know the specs, the feature differences, and the general character of both instruments. On paper, I understand what each one offers.
What I’m looking for is not a spec comparison, but real-world experience from people who have actually spent time with both.
If you had to keep only one of them, which one would you personally choose — and why?
I’m especially interested in things like:
which one feels more inspiring long-term;
which one you actually reach for more often;
which one sits better in a track;
whether the Prophet 5/10’s character feels more “special” over time;
or whether the Trigon-6 feels more complete and flexible as a main polysynth.
My budget only allows me to buy one, and at this point it honestly feels like a coin toss.
I’d really appreciate thoughts from owners or people who have had serious hands-on time with both.
