Hello all! I'm a teacher in rural BC, and I will be teaching Socials 10 for the second time next year, and I wasn't happy with the way I taught it this year. The curriculum covers from 1914-present day Canada, and I tried to do it chronologically, which didn't work: there was just too much. For next year, I was thinking I would try to arrange my units more thematically rather than around time frames, and I was wondering if there were any teachers of Canadian history (in BC or elsewhere) who have some ideas of how they would split up this massive time period thematically, ideally in four or five units, and events they might focus on for each unit.
