Root canal- please help
31 female. First root canal.
So my mouth was in excruciating pain. Last Saturday I got an emergency root canal done and was put on a Z pack for 5 days. (It’s my upper left tooth next to my front tooth)
The first session gave me immediate relief. They drilled a hole, took out whatever they take out and then put a temp filling. It was amazing honestly.
Fast forward 5 days later- I get my second session done and took the last of the antibiotic. They pretty much redid everything. Drilled my tooth all the way down and gave me my crown.
Now it feels like I’m back at square 1 pain wise. My initial visit my pain was about a 11/10. Now it’s about 9/10. It’s been two days since my second session. It’s a weekend now unfortunately so no one’s in the office. I’m taking dual action every 6 hours which idk if I’m supposed to but the pain is waking me up in my sleep.
Is this normal? Why was it so much relief after the first session and now I’m in hell again.
