Opening mod applications!

Hello! Some of you may have seen a pinned post recently stating that the sub was "up for adoption". Well, I saw that, too, and I reached out to the mod here and asked if they needed help, and now I'm a mod here, too! Per my recommendation, we agreed that it would be helpful to have extra mods here. It's pretty quiet, but better safe than sorry! As such, I'm making this post in order to find people who are interested in moderation!

No experience necessary. If you get accepted as a mod, we'll just have you confer with us before taking any actions, at least for a time. This is a volunteer position. We're not going to ask you to spend any minimum amount of time "patrolling" the sub. You also don't get compensated. We're looking for people who want to mod here because they're passionate about the band, and want to ensure there's a safe, well-maintained community for people to discuss them!

Like I said, experience will have basically zero bearing on whether you get accepted or not, but there are a few hard requirements. If you don't meet all of them, your application will be rejected:

- You must speak fluent English. This is an English-speaking sub, and the two of us mods already on the mod team speak English, so we need to be able to communicate with each other and our users.

- Your application must not be written with AI. Use of AI shows a lack of both effort and interest.

- You need a Discord account. Our mod chat will be on a Discord server, and we'll need to be able to talk with one another.

If you meet all those requirements, please send us a modmail (not a comment) answering the following questions:

  1. What is your Discord username?

  2. Why are you applying for mod here?

  3. What, if anything, do you believe needs to be changed on the subreddit?

  4. What is your favorite song and/or album? (This one isn't required, just consider it to be a fun little piece of trivia to add!)

Ticket Megathread

To cut down on spam, we've moved all ticket-related posts to this megathread. Starting from when this megathread is posted, all ticket sales, purchases, giveaways, etc must be comments under this megathread.

Please note that we mods do not moderate sales, and any purchases you make are at your own risk. We will not accept responsibility if you get scammed.

What do you, personally, believe is the "canon"/real life difficulty (or difficulties)?

As in, if the apocalypse happened in real life and Infected were roaming the streets, would commons die to a single bullet like Easy? Or would it take many, like Advanced or Expert? Or maybe it would be more like Realism?

How many bullets would it take to kill a Tank? How long would it take a Hunter to kill a healthy person? Would a Witch slice you in two in one fell swoop, or would you only be heavily wounded?

All combinations, even per infected type/gameplay mechanic are welcome.

Hello! This is the tenth edition of our Mods' Picks Of The Month series! Be sure to check out our wiki page for archived editions!

/u/MidHoovie and /u/ChaosCrafter908 are swamped with real-life obligations currently and aren't able to participate this month. I'm built different (lazy and jobless college student), so I've chosen my favorite posts from the period of April 1st to April 30th!

Here are my picks!

This creepy yet silly animation by u/MishaSFM.

This cool artwork of EVIL Mimi Sentry and some rabbit creature by u/ChebyLamb.

This still of Scout stealing some lunch by u/silly-foxy.

This absolutely SICK art of Soldier by u/grugginator5000.

What if it was all just a (schizophrenic) dream? by u/Confident-Quality-24.
