Just got delivery of a P2 2026
The delivery was bad. This is my second P2 - the first delivery went smooth..no issues. The second went bad.
First the new car had plastic covers over the rims..Aero..When I ordered I did not catch that this rims had plastic covers. My first P2 had normal alloy rims - not that cheap plastic covers. But I suspect this is just my fault...even tough I can not see the information about the rims when I ordered...it only said alloy rims....I really hate plastic covers..it breaks in cold..And here it is very cold during winters..often below -20 celsius. Not happy with that surprise....
Second....The app would not work. The dealer said that they had issues with this and that they have ordered new keys that they hope can fix the issue so that my phone can be paired with the car. My first P2 had no issues ever..(Thats why I felt safe ordering a second time).
Normally the models get better and more stable during each update...This is cleary not the case here...Cheaper rims..apps that dont work...I did order the 2026 model thinking this would be safe..Outgoing models have normally fixed all the issues...Here they just got new ones..
The car did also miss a tow hitch that I ordered. The travel distance between my home and the dealer is loooong and I do not like the idea to travel once more to the dealer..and just sit there and wait one day...Thats not acceptable. If they just could have told me this in advance I would have not taken delivery until they had everything in place. For me one extra day at the shop costs me money...a lot of money..more than the tow hitch costs.....Very frustrating this.
I have a local volvo service center that takes all inspections...so I would normally never need to go to the HQ of Polestar - but now I do..... :-(
