I'm a young photographer from India studying in Maryland on the East Coast. I have a photo story in mind that takes me to Winterset (Madison County). I was thinking of cycling from Des Moines to Winterset as I don't have a car. As a brown person cycling alone in interesting times in the country right now, is there anything I should keep in mind?

I also barely know a couple of people in Iowa.
