Vine killing my plants

I'm growing a tree line (as seen in the 5th pic). I've been gathering sapplings for the past two years around my yard and replanting them in a row. I've also just been letting nature sprout up around it trying to let it be as natural as possible. This was until a vine starting spreading like crazy and squeezing the life out of my trees. It spreads across the ground like grass have a bark type vine with roots ever foot or so and then when it reaches a tree or my fence it shoots up winding around whatever it's touching and chokes it. I went scortched earth on it but I have to go back out every weekend and re attack spots where it tries to come back. What can I do to kill it for good and let the grass grow back in my tree line?
