Turned my filament poop into LED acoustic hex panels
I turned my filament poop, failed prints, and support material into LED acoustic hex panels 😅
These are modular wall panels with RGB strips built in, and I tried to make them easy to wire together and mount up. Each hex has channels for the LEDs and wire routing on every side, plus clip slots all the way around so lining them up is pretty easy.
I also made a bunch of face designs:
Voronoi Stacked 1, Voronoi Stacked 2, Honeycomb, Corsair, Tiger Stripe, and Voronoi Flower.
The stacked Voronoi ones are probably my favorite. You can print them in a few different colors, rotate the layers, and it gives them a really nice 3D look.
The diffuser is just basic white PLA, 3 layers thick, so you don’t need translucent filament to get good light through it.
Designed around Bambu P/X series printers, but you can scale them for other machines too.
Pretty happy with how these came out. Trying to turn printer waste into something I’d actually want on the wall.
