My husband went to his primary care physician today because of some negative side effects from his 10mg Zepbound. Last week, he was extremely dehydrated and passed out a couple of times at home. He had eaten something that didn't agree with him, along with being only one day removed from his shot day. He refused to let me take him to the ER and said he would see his doc. She wants to move him down to 7.5, instead of stretching out his 10mg dose. She also thinks he should be in maintenance mode, rather than losing weight anymore. Here is our concern. As his physician who has provided him care for a few years and really knows his history, she was shocked to find out that she would not be the one to change his prescription. That he would have to log into 9am Health and try to explain to them that he would like to have his dose lowered. Has anyone experienced dealing with them with this sort of issue? Do you think they will take his personal physician's opinion, or is this going to be their way of kicking him off cold turkey? My PA doesn't expire until late August, and I'm hesitant to rock the boat by asking to lower my own dose because I don't want to trigger having to get set up with 9am. Looking for a bit of guidance. This is the very frustrating part of this whole 9am Health. For what it's worth, we are on the State Health Benefit Plan of Georgia, so before any says to complain to my employer, it's pointless.
