After trying various supplements, spironolactone, birth controls, fitness and diet plans- I’ve finally found something that makes a difference to my body acne.
I had a mirena coil put in 5 years ago for my endo which has been really helpful in preventing reoccurrence of that since my surgery. But after having such a bad reaction to spironolactone and nothing else working. I researched and found out that the mirena coil is the most androgenic kind of birth control. Interestingly, I didn’t have any androgenic symptoms before I started it
Got it removed a month ago and my body acne has nearly all gone and I’ve had a period! I can’t believe no dr or specialist suggested this to me or at least changing to other birth control
Fingers crossed that I keep having periods now
* not a birth control hater. It really helped with my endo symptoms and gave me regular bleeds. It can be so helpful in many ways
