Hey guys! I’ve seen lots of root flare posts and sorry to add to it but I’ve had my potted JM for a few months now and I recently started thinking if I need to expose the root flare so I started uncovering soil. I know nurseries have tendency of potting them deep but notice a couple roots coming from higher up the trunk (pictured). Do I keep uncovering soil? I saw one post where someone said some young trees, especially in containers, might not have necessarily developed a root flare yet? Are these roots okay to be exposed if I keep digging? I just don’t want to start digging and possibly damage roots and harm the tree.
I also did a slip pot with it, as it was stressed so I didn’t change the height of the soil from the nursery pot. Thank you for any advice in advance!
