Started a kids newsletter - first time I've actually finished building something

I'm a full-time working parent and I've had the itch to build something for a while. Not just start it, but actually finish it. The kids space felt right. There's a lot of noise out there for young readers and not enough that treats them like the curious, smart kids they actually are.

So I built The Curious Post, a bi-weekly newsletter for kids aged 8–12. One topic per issue, written so a curious kid actually wants to read it. Not dumbed down, just given a real entry point. Science, history, weird facts, space - the stuff that makes kids say "wait, really?"

AI made this the right moment to try. I could finally see a path to completing it without it consuming every spare hour. But it's done and it's real and that feels like something.

If you have kids in that age range or know someone who does please check out: thecuriouspost.beehiiv.com/

And if you've grown a niche audience outside the tech bubble, I'd love to know how you got your first 100 real subscribers.

He asked why paper doesn't fall apart when it gets wet in the rain. One thing led to another and I ended up writing a whole issue about how paper is made. Turns out it's basically mashed plant fibers pressed flat and dried, a process invented in China 2,000 years ago.

It's a free bi-weekly newsletter called The Curious Post for curious kids 8–12. Would love to share it if anyone's interested!
