I was admitted to UCI as a Business Economics transfer student, but I plan to switch into Quantitative Economics ASAP.

I already completed equivalents for Econ 20A/20B, Calc I/II, and stats at CC, and I’m taking Linear Algebra this summer.

My main concern is that ECON 105A seems to only be offered in Fall and starts the QE sequence, but BE majors are restricted from enrolling in it.

Has any transfer student successfully:

• changed from BE to QE during summer/before Fall?
• enrolled in ECON 105A before the official major change processed?
• received enrollment authorization as a prospective QE student?

I’m worried that if I can’t take 105A in Fall, the whole QE sequence gets delayed by a year.

Would really appreciate hearing any experiences or advice. Thanks!
