Printing a beer/drink crate in PETG on a P2S and one of the internal supports for the handle attachment snapped mid print around hour 6 or 7. The rest of the print looks great but I'm worried the top section where the handle connects is going to fail as it builds higher without that support.
Is there anything you can do when a support breaks mid print to save it? Can you pause and manually prop something up? Or is it just accept the damage and let it finish?
Also for anyone who has printed something similar, a basket, crate, anything with tall handle attachment posts, what support settings do you use to stop them tipping over? Tree vs normal supports, density, brim on supports?
My plan if it gets bad near the top is to reprint it upside down with the handle attachment posts filled in solid, then glue the handle on separately. Since the crate has a separate handle piece anyway I am not worried about not being able to pick it up from the sides, the handle takes the load not the walls. Just wanted to see what others do in this situation before committing to a reprint.
